Katie and Nick's Great (Smoky Mountains) Wedding

Last month's wedding of Katie and Nick took place in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park at the Appalachian Clubhouse, which is in the Elkmont region of the park.  What a great choice of venue!  I think when you choose a venue with such a storied history, you help keep the history going!

Their wedding took place in a woodland setting that was breathtaking and beautiful.  I am biased, of course, as I happen to think the Smokies is paradise.  But look at these pictures and judge for yourself.  Congratulations to Katie and Nick - thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding day and may you have a long and happy marriage!

First Look

Katie and Nick chose to do a First Look and then do bridal portraits.  This helps reduce the stress of trying to do pictures between the ceremony and the reception, and allowed them to join their guests sooner.  By the way, if you think there won't be a "reaction" when the bride comes down the aisle if there is a First Look, think again.  When the music starts and the procession begins, it still remains exciting because THIS IS IT, THE WEDDING!
