To Calvary

When I lived in Southern California, I was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Santa Ana.  The Hispanic community there would perform a living Stations of the Cross on each Good Friday.  They made their own costumes and would put their heart and soul into what they showed.

Juan Perez is playing the role of Jesus above.  By the day's end, he would be sore and bruised - but each year accepted the role again, out of love for his Savior.
