Christmas is a gift for us all, wrapped up in lights, traditions, and family - and especially for children when they believe that a kindly man in a red suit will be secretly placing their presents beneath the Christmas tree. Every generation keeps that wonder and magic alive! And why not? It makes Christmas a time to bring the spirit of the holiday into our homes and filling them with the true meaning of peace, joy, love, and good will towards all.
The Wonder of Santa can help you keep the magic alive for your children year round!
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes The Wonder of Santa different from other Santa sessions?
Imagine Santa Claus making a trip from the North Pole just to meet your children and spend a fun-filled, interactive hour of activity with them. Sanata leads them through a story line with different scenes - from sharing milk and cookies, to painting with magic brushes, to tracking Santa’s Christmas Eve journey on his vintage globe, they will come to learn that Santa is more than a myth - he is their friend! They will receive a special gift from Santa and you can be sure that he will have their name in his Nice Book!
Are these photographs of those scenes?
Yes and no. During the session I work to capture the components of genuine expressions, spontaneous smiles, and the funny gestures that make your kids the special people they are. These are then carefully crafted into portraits in Photoshop so that there may be only one or two images for any scene but it displays the best overall. How easy is it for multiple children to all “look good” at the same time? I know the answer to that having had more than one child myself but by doing this, every child looks engaged with Santa at the same time!
I notice the kids are in pajamas. Do I need to buy some?
No, I supply those to use. You just bring your children ready to go. For girls, you might want to consider a bow or hairband to pull hair back from the face. Of course, if you want to use your own clothing, that’s okay, too!
I’m not sure my child can do this . . .
Santa and I have experience with kids who may need some patience due to age or developmental issues - and they are very welcome in the studio. I have had parents book the last session of the day so that we could take that extra time and capture marvelous images for them.
What is the cost for this?
The session fee is $279 per family. That fee is for the time, the skill of a professional Santa,a small gift for each child from Santa, and a $100 print credit. The session fee does not include products, which are purchased separately. I specialize in exclusive framed canvas wall art and heirloom quality storybooks. There is no minimum purchase required and every product also comes with a digital copy for Internet use. A full price list can be provided upon request before booking a session. As an example, a professionally finished and framed canvas starts at $1,090. My Storybook, which includes all of the scenes with Santa and incorporates your children’s names into the story, starts at $1,290.
When are the sessions?
Sessions are every Saturday in October except for October 26th and every Saturday in November. There are only five sessions on any day and take place at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, and 6:00 pm, as available. To reserve a session, you will need to call and pay the session fee. I will also take personal information from you about your children that Santa can use to personalize the session (“How did he know we have a dog named Dixie?!?!”).
Where are the sessions?
My studio is located in downtown Harriman, TN, in a delightful vintage 1901 storefront. Harriman has a delightful small-town America feel with shops, antique stores, and resturants so I encourage you to make a day of it!
Is your Santa real?
Of course he is. He is a professional who has appeared in shows in Pigeon Forge and likes to show off a magic trick or two - that helps with shy kids!
