Tabby and Morgan’s Marriage Proposal - Celebrating the 100th!
It finally happened.
What I think would have happened last year were it not for a broken knee that kept me immobile, and what would have happened earlier this year had it not been for eager would-be grooms to jump the gun, actually did happen.
Congratulations to Tabby and Morgan, a beautiful couple from Nashville, on being the 100th marriage proposal that I have photographed. It could not have happened in as beautiful place as it did, the bald at Max Patch in the Pisgah National Forest. Morgan told me that they both had a love of the outdoors and wanted to propose there given its sweeping vistas of the Smokies and other mountains. Rain threatened and, as usual, I always worry about where the ceiling for overcast might be (our local peaks can get shrouded by fog, mist, and low clouds).
But the weather stayed lovely instead! With cooler temperatures, sunshine, and a breeze blowing, Max Patch was in its full summer glory and the warmth increased by the love of these two. Morgan admitted he had a speech prepared but in the moment, ah, well . . . what is more important is that SHE SAID YES!
Congratulations, Tabby and Morgan!
By the way, Morgan is a firefighter and that makes him a hero in the eyes of many. I think Tabby would ass that he is a hero for making her moment special!
