High School Reconnection: Julie and Greg's Proposal

Are you ever too old for romance?

The answer is, of course, a resounding “NO!”

Greg and Julie were not high school sweethearts but they did know each other from those teen years. And years have a tendency to gather and collect, and go bye. Which is what happened to Julie and Greg - separate lives lived, families raised, and the changes in relationships.

Then one day a friend posted online a picture of a lighthouse. Julie liked the picture. Greg liked the picture. Turns out they both had an affinity for these seaside structures and remembered each other from high school. So, they got to chatting. And talking. And got together in person. Followed by dating.

And then, atop Newfound Gap in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Greg held onto Julie and played for her “I Prayed for You” by Matt Stell.

And this happened:

By the way, I would be remiss if I did not mention that the Director of Photography for the music video for “I Prayed for You” is my good friend, the wildly talented Bryan Allen of Knoxville’s premiere production company, Pop Fizz. Bryan - who more often goes by the moniker B.A. - is a fabulous videographer and if you ever see the indie film “Josephine,” you will see his talent at work.
