Shadai

A short time ago, I had the good fortune to be able to photograph some of the models who participated in Aaron White’s En Blanc fashion show on the rooftop of the Hyatt in downtown Knoxville. Space was limited! I had a quick-and-dirty setup in a hallway outside the elevators, grabbing images quickly just before the girls lined up one flight up to walk the runway!

Nothing fancy but that can be fun, when you have a challenge and see what you can do. I rely a lot on my Godox lights and MagMod light modifiers to make this happen. Add a smaller backdrop by David Maheu and I was in business. Studio anywhere!

I managed to make portraits of one model, Shadai Carr, both before and after she dressed and walked the runway. Go follow her on instagram - I love her quote “Modeling is really silent acting.”

I love such a regal, confident beauty!
