The dog above is real. The composition is not.
I am excited by the tool that AI - Artificial Intelligence - can be for my art and, by default, your products.
I am learning and improving my skills at "training" an image generator to take a pet and have the machine "learn" what it looks like - and then by giving the image geneator prompts, it can create for me a composition that I can further embellish using my expertise in Photoshop.
Want to be further amazed? The images you see here were created using just cellphone pictures. Yes, that's right - the input to the machine learning can be just what is on your phone. And as you know, if you love your pet I suspect you have dozens of such images on your phone right now.
Consider this - is there a dog from your past who is no longer with you that you would love to see immortalized in a portrait? And what if all you had were just a bunch of cellphone pictures? The dogs here here, I am happy to say, are alive and well but any pet owner knows the heartbreak of having to say goodbye to our best friends.
It is not too late. I will be attending a workshop next month to master this technique so I can provide this service to my clients. If you have an interest in a painterly portrait of your pet in a specific setting, let's see what we can have the machine dream up!
I had already started using AI in my work to supplement my photography. It is fascinating to me and I think it will only get better!
